OrcaWave Analysis is a Python-based expert skill for automating diffraction and radiation hydrodynamic analyses via the OrcaWave COM API. It offers high-level APIs for frequency-domain wave–structure interaction, added mass and damping computation, QTF (Quadratic Transfer Function) second-order calculations, and multi-body hydrodynamic coupling. Key features include panel mesh generation and optimization, mesh convergence studies, scalable batch processing with parallel workers, and direct export to OrcaFlex hydrodynamic databases. Typical use cases are parametric draft and configuration sweeps, pre-processing of panel meshes, sensitivity and convergence studies, and preparing OrcaFlex input from rigorous BEM results. Core advantages are reproducible, scriptable workflows; scalable batch runs; tight integration with existing Python toolchains (digitalmodel package); and streamlined handoff to OrcaFlex for downstream dynamic analysis. Prerequisites: OrcaWave license with COM access and panel geometry files.
